Chequers
The establishment in question is a charming, historic coaching inn that retains three of its original rooms. However, the majority of the interior decor and furnishings are not particularly ancient. The oldest pieces include a fireplace from the 1930s and some bar furniture from the 1960s, which can be found in the main bar and lounge area. Despite the lack of truly antique fixtures, the inn still exudes a sense of character and nostalgia.
