St Mary the Virgin
Located within the premises of Etal Manor, a church was constructed between 1856 and 1858. This architectural masterpiece was designed by William Butterfield and commissioned by Lady Augusta FitzClarence. The church was intended to serve as the final resting place for her husband, Lord Frederick FitzClarence, who was one of the unrecognized sons of King William IV.
