St George German Lutheran Church
St George's, located in the immigrant district of Whitechapel, has maintained much of its original character since its establishment in 1763. The institution was founded by German refugees who had sought religious sanctuary in London. These individuals were primarily engaged in the sugar industry. Despite the passage of time, the essence of St George's remains largely unchanged, reflecting its rich history and the resilience of its founders.
