Blackheath & Charlton Baptist Church
The establishment of the church can be traced back to the year 1863. It was during this time that eight inhabitants of Blackheath sought the approval of Charles Haddon Spurgeon, who was associated with the Metropolitan Tabernacle, to initiate a distinct fellowship in their locality.
