St Sampson
For at least 1500 years, a hermit's dwelling, chapel, or church has been present on this location, which is part of the historic Saints Way. This route was frequently used by Celtic Saints traveling from Padstow to Fowey, as it provided a safer alternative to the hazardous sea route around Land's End. The site is currently home to St Sampson's church.
