St Mary's Oxenhope
In 1845, Reverend Patrick Brontë, the father of renowned novelists Charlotte, Anne, and Emily Brontë, entrusted the newly established ecclesiastical district of Oxenhope to the care of Reverend Joseph Brett Grant. Reverend Brontë appointed him as the curate, marking a significant moment in the district's history.
