St Peter
Constructed in 1846, this Grade II listed Victorian mission church is a testament to historical architecture. An additional vestry was incorporated into the structure in 1895, further enhancing its architectural significance. Unfortunately, the church suffered significant damage in the 2008 earthquake. However, the story of its restoration is beautifully documented through a series of photographs displayed within the church. These images not only narrate the church's journey of recovery but also stand as a symbol of resilience and restoration.
