St John the Divine
Constructed in 1898, this quaint village church was initially intended to serve as a temporary structure. The local community, including the villagers and a local carpenter named Richard Turner, collaborated on its construction. The church stands on a solid concrete base, incorporating stones from Bardney Abbey into its foundational structure. This unique blend of materials not only provides a sturdy base but also adds a touch of historical significance to the building.
