Wareham Town Museum
The Wareham Town Museum, a prominent local institution, has its roots in the Wareham Pictorial Museum. This private collection was the brainchild of Mr. and Mrs. Broughton, who first opened it to the public in 1960. The museum was originally housed in their North Street residence. Notably, Harry Broughton, one of the founders, had the distinction of serving as a former mayor of Wareham.
