Apothecary
Established in 1995 as Cantaloupe, this site was among the pioneers in the transformation of Shoreditch into a trendy hotspot. In 2013, it underwent a rebranding and was reintroduced as the Merchants Tavern. The establishment is housed in a converted warehouse, a common architectural feature in the area, and boasts an appealing exterior. Upon entering, guests are greeted by a tastefully decorated interior, featuring a bar at the front and a more formal dining area towards the back. The seating is comfortable, with brown leather upholstery adding to the overall ambiance. While the establishment does not offer real ale, it does provide three draught beers sourced from Camden and Williams Bros. The menu at the Merchants Tavern is of a superior quality, offering a variety of delectable options. In May 2021, the establishment underwent another transformation and is now known as Apothecary.
