Dam House
The Dam House, a historic establishment located on the brink of the Old Great Dam, is a testament to Sheffield's growth in the 18th century. Constructed in 1785, the dam was one of several reservoirs developed to cater to the city's burgeoning water needs. The Dam House itself was erected five years prior, in 1780, serving as the residence of the Water Board's solicitor. Today, the Dam House has been transformed into a contemporary bar and restaurant, seamlessly blending its rich history with modern aesthetics. Patrons can enjoy a rotating selection of four real ales, primarily sourced from the renowned Wentworth brewery. In addition to its impressive beverage offerings, the Dam House also boasts a diverse and expansive food menu, ensuring a satisfying culinary experience for all.
