The Whinney Moor
The Whinney Moor Hotel, a former roadhouse, underwent a name change in 2000 and was known as the Duke of Wellington. However, in 2014, it reverted back to its original name, the Whinney Moor. This establishment has a significant historical connection with the Catholic parish in Lupset. The parish's inception can be traced back to approximately 1930 when priests from St Austin's began offering Mass services at the Whinney Moor Hotel.
