The Purple Turtle, a basement bar known for its low brick vaulted ceiling, music, dancing, and nightly events, has undergone a significant transformation. Patrons are advised to be mindful of the low ceiling upon entry. The bar, which was previously known for its standard keg fonts, closed abruptly in November 2018 due to a non-renewal of its lease. However, it has since reopened and rebranded itself as 'Oxford's Premier LGBTQ+ Bar & Club'. Please note that there is an entry fee for this establishment.
