The Plough at 38
The Plough Inn, originally established in 1656, was constructed from two renovated tenements. After serving as an inn for centuries, it ceased operations in 1924, transitioning into a retail space. Despite these changes, some of the upper floors of the building still retain their original structure. The property was subsequently leased to Austin Reed, a renowned gentleman's outfitter. However, in 2016, Austin Reed's business faced financial difficulties and went into administration. Today, the building has returned to its roots and has been reopened as a pub.
