The Merton Inn
The Merton Inn, once a Wetherspoon pub, is now independently operated. The beer selection is commendable, featuring a variety of choices from the Marston's group. The food is freshly prepared upon order, ensuring a high-quality dining experience. The Merton Inn has a rich history, originally established as a hotel in the 1930s from the combination of two villas. During World War II, it served as a hospital before being transformed into a pub in the 1970s. The venue is spacious and multi-leveled, featuring wood panelling and subdued lighting. It still retains some of the unique character from its original villa structure, providing a unique and charming atmosphere.
