The establishment has undergone a refurbishment and previously functioned as a weekend music bar. It is currently under the same ownership as the West Riding Refreshment Rooms. The venue has a dedicated following of enthusiastic patrons who appreciate its unique charm and history. While Real Ales are not consistently on offer, they can be made available upon request for those who choose to hire the venue for private events.
