The Stratford Hotel, a contemporary establishment designed in a retro style, was originally built in the mid-1990s on the site of a former hospital. It was initially named the Stratford Victoria Hotel. In 2008, the hotel underwent a significant transformation with a £7-million investment, turning it into a stylish and chic venue. In July 2018, the hotel underwent another name change following Hilton's acquisition of the parent company. The hotel, now part of the Hilton family, offers a range of amenities including a garden, parking facilities, comfortable accommodation, a restaurant, and a separate bar. The bar is also open to non-residents, offering ale at £4.50 a pint. This modern yet retro-styled hotel continues to provide excellent service and a welcoming atmosphere, maintaining its reputation as a top choice for both residents and visitors alike.
