The establishment, originally known as the Co-op Dairy, underwent a transformation in the early 1990s, transitioning into a restaurant and pub. After approximately four years, it evolved further to become exclusively a pub. One of the distinguishing features of this pub is its remarkable floral displays, which have not gone unnoticed. The local community organization, Portishead in Bloom, has recognized and awarded the pub for its beautiful floral arrangements. In addition to its visually appealing environment, the pub also offers live music and performances from various singers on select evenings, adding to its vibrant and lively atmosphere.
