Bull Hotel
The Bull is a 14th-century coaching inn that has managed to retain its old stabling, a testament to its rich history. Previously a Lovibonds pub, it now boasts a large, sprawling bar area adorned with beams and an open firestand, adding to its rustic charm. In addition to the bar, the inn features a separate restaurant and a tea room, each located at opposite ends of the building. This layout provides guests with a variety of dining options, catering to different tastes and preferences. The upstairs accommodation at the Bull further reflects its age, with sloping passages and uneven bedroom ceilings that add character and a sense of nostalgia. Despite being bought by Hop Back in 1998, the inn was sold again a few years later. The grounds at the rear of the buildings house a petanque court, offering guests an opportunity to engage in this traditional French game. This feature, along with the inn's other attributes, makes the Bull a fine example of a traditional English pub. Its blend of history, charm, and amenities offers a unique experience for visitors.
