The Cobbler
Constructed in the 1970s by Hull Brewery, the Cobbler was originally designed with a shoemender theme, a nod to the local cobblers who were responsible for laying the cobblestones on the roads. Over time, the Cobbler became a popular spot for dining. For a significant period, it was known as the Yorkshire Penny, operating as a family-friendly pub that was well-loved for its dining options. Today, the establishment has returned to its original name, the Cobbler, and proudly identifies itself as the birthplace of the renowned Cobbler Pie. The operating hours of the Cobbler are in accordance with the stipulations of its license.
