Metropole
After undergoing a significant renovation in December 2014, the establishment reopened, introducing cask beer to its offerings. The redesigned space features a split-level single room with a bar counter situated in the far corner. This new layout replaced the original woodwork and bar counter, which dated back to the venue's days as a late Victorian theatre bar. The venue is now a popular spot for weekend entertainment, featuring a DJ and multiple television screens. Its location is conveniently close to public transport interchanges, including bus and Metro systems, making it easily accessible for patrons. However, in 2018, the cask ale hand pulls were removed from the bar, and the venue ceased the sale of real ale. Despite this change, the establishment continues to provide a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere for its customers.
