Spot Gate Inn
This charming country pub and restaurant specializes in serving delicious meals and hosting various functions. It also features a cosy room dedicated to drinking and pub games, providing a warm and inviting atmosphere for patrons. A unique attraction of this establishment is the presence of two interwar Pullman railway carriages, namely No. 75, a Third Class Open, and Ursula, a First Class Dining carriage. These historic carriages were constructed in 1928 and were later installed on the premises by Ind Coope in 1968, following their retirement from British Rail service. The pub proudly showcases a collection of photographs documenting the installation of these carriages, along with a variety of other railway memorabilia. This unique blend of history and hospitality creates a truly unique dining and socializing experience.
