The sports bar, previously known as The Carlton, was under the ownership of Burtonwood from 2000 to 2005. Despite Burtonwood's slogan of "Traditional Pubs & Traditional Beer," the establishment does not offer any cask products. The venue primarily caters to a younger crowd and is a popular stop on the town centre circuit. The bar may also adjust its operating hours to accommodate local sports events, such as opening on Sundays when the Castleford Tigers have a home match.
