Double Red Duke
This charming 17th-century stone house, which transitioned into an inn during the 19th century, is a testament to historical architecture with its mullioned windows and impressive doorway. Originally, it was the flagship pub of Garne's Brewery in Burford, before being acquired by Wadworth in 1969. Subsequently, it was sold as a free house. The inn boasts a welcoming bar area that serves as a gathering spot for a gin club every Thursday. Patrons can choose from an impressive selection of over 100 gins sourced globally, complemented by a variety of tonics. Under new ownership, the hotel has undergone extensive refurbishment and expansion, breathing new life into this historic establishment. It has also been renamed, marking a new chapter in its rich history.
