Jack Hawley at The Grange

In 2018, a new micropub specializing in real ale was established on the first floor of a terrace. This establishment is a proud member of Timothy Taylor's Champions Club. The proprietor of the pub, Ian, was formerly associated with The Black Swan in Asselby. During his tenure there, the pub was twice nominated as the runner up for York Pub of the Year and also won a Spring Pub of the Season award. The micropub offers a comfortable setting for its patrons, with picnic tables situated by the car park for the convenience of smokers. However, it's important to note that access to the pub is only possible via a staircase. The pub boasts a selection of four ales, typically including one dark ale. This new establishment is committed to providing a unique and enjoyable experience for all real ale enthusiasts.
