Pilots' Rest
The micropub, which initially showcased a unique blend of aviation and sheep themes, was a tribute to Sheppey's historical involvement in aircraft production and its plentiful sheep pastures. This distinctive establishment was recognized as the runner-up for the Swale CAMRA Pub of the Year in 2020. However, on the 3rd of May, 2023, the pub closed its doors for what was thought to be the last time. To the delight of its patrons, the pub was reopened on the 10th of August, 2023, under a new name. The opening hours, as initially announced, are subject to change over time. Patrons are encouraged to stay updated on any changes by monitoring the pub's Facebook page. The pub continues to offer a selection of beverages, served from four handpumps. This micropub's journey, from its unique thematic origins to its temporary closure and subsequent reopening, reflects its resilience and commitment to providing a unique and enjoyable experience for its patrons. Despite the changes, it remains a beloved local establishment, continuing to serve its community with the same dedication and charm.
