Established as an inn in 1714, the property underwent a significant transformation when it was purchased by Morrell's around 1830. The new owners redesigned it into a grand Victorian house, set within three acres of lush grounds. Today, this historic building operates as a boutique hotel, offering nine well-appointed rooms for guests. The hotel is also home to a highly esteemed restaurant, which has gained particular recognition for its exceptional Sunday buffet. Despite the evolution of the property, the bar area has managed to retain its original charm. It is a cozy, L-shaped space that exudes the ambiance of a traditional pub. The walls are decorated with vintage advertisements, adding to the overall character and appeal of the establishment.
