White Hart

The renowned 17th-century pub is globally recognized for its historical significance as the former residence of George 'Tornado' Smith. Smith, a celebrated Wall of Death motorbike performer, was known for his audacious stunts that captivated audiences worldwide. His performances were made even more thrilling by the presence of his pet lion, often perched on the handlebars of his motorbike. The pub's history extends even further back, with its original construction dating back to the 16th century. Adding to its rich past, the site was also home to a significant Victorian brewery in the late 19th century. This blend of history and unique stories makes the pub a fascinating landmark with a rich tapestry of tales to tell.
