In July 2021, a chic new bar, Smart Bar, was inaugurated on the ground floor of a modern building that is home to the Ninja Theory games company. The bar does not serve cask ales, but it does offer three types of keg beers from the local BrewBoard brewery. In addition to beer, the Smart Bar also serves a variety of cocktails, wines, and spirits. The interior of the bar is stylishly decorated, creating a comfortable and inviting atmosphere for patrons. Upon entering, guests are greeted by a large boardroom table, with several smaller tables scattered throughout the space for more intimate gatherings. There are also stools available at the bar for those who prefer a more traditional bar experience. The Smart Bar is located where the former Five Bells pub used to be, which closed its doors in late 2002. This new establishment breathes new life into the location, offering a fresh and modern take on the traditional pub experience.
