Previously under the ownership of Ringwood, the establishment is now part of the Marston's portfolio. Despite the change in ownership, the Porterhouse continues to serve ales from the Ringwood brewery, along with guest ales from the Marston's family. The bar offers a variety of entertainment options for its patrons. Every Tuesday, it hosts a weekly pub quiz, and board games and cards are readily available for those looking for a more relaxed evening. On Friday evenings, the bar comes alive with live music performances. The Porterhouse is conveniently located and easily accessible by bus, train, and taxi, making it an ideal spot for a quick drink after work or a leisurely weekend outing. In 2018, the bar underwent a refurbishment, further enhancing its appeal and comfort for its patrons.
