In early September 2023, the owners of the New Amsterdam pub in central Worthing embarked on a new venture, transforming a former bookmaker's shop, which was originally a bank, into a quaint, small bar. The bar boasts a selection of 10 taps, offering a variety of 8 keg beers, a lager, and a cider. In addition, patrons can choose from a range of bottled beers and a carefully curated selection of wines. While the bar does not serve cask ale, it more than makes up for it with its food offerings. Customers can enjoy artisan bread, a variety of cheeses, and a selection of meats. For those with a preference for plant-based options, vegan pies are available, along with a variety of snacks to complement the beverages. The bar's decor is simple yet inviting, featuring exposed brickwork that adds a rustic charm. The bar area is highlighted by white tiling, creating a clean, modern contrast. This new establishment offers a unique blend of history, modernity, and a wide range of beverages and food options, promising a memorable experience for all its patrons.
