Jack's House
For two centuries, up until 1974, this establishment was famously known as the Shoulder of Mutton. The building, constructed from angled stone blocks, was designed to repel water. An interesting feature of the place is an iron ring on the wall, intended for securing dogs. The establishment was reconstructed by Jack Brook, who also rechristened it with its current name. Today, it is a warm and inviting single-roomed local pub, complete with a stone-vaulted anteroom. The pub is renowned for its friendly atmosphere and is a favorite among families. It tends to become more vibrant in the evenings, attracting a younger crowd.
