the start bay inn is a beautiful 14 century thatched pub right next to the beach of slapton sands, torcross in the heart of the south hams, devon which specialises in seafood. it has been run by the stubbs family as a traditional pub since 1977. we serve fish and chips with a portion size to suit every appetite and fresh fish, generous portions and reasonable prices which is why we are busy
