On September 10, 2022, a local pub reopened its doors after being closed for seven years. This was made possible due to a concerted campaign by local villagers who were keen to see their beloved watering hole back in operation. The pub now serves Real Ales from the Buntingford Brewery, which are dispensed from polypin boxes situated on the bar. Additionally, patrons can enjoy real cider sourced from Offley Farm. It's important to note that despite the community's significant involvement in the campaign to reopen the pub, it is not a community-owned or managed establishment. Instead, the pub is privately owned and operates under a lease.
