Old Oak Inn
This establishment, previously a Tetley house, is located in a notable stone building. It was opened to the public many years ago and has maintained its unique areas for various activities, such as playing pool, comfortable seating, and a charming L-shaped bar for socializing. The property underwent a significant makeover under new ownership in late 2013, following a period of closure due to neglect. The establishment now boasts two handpulls, although the availability of real ale can vary. Despite the extensive refurbishment, some original tiles have been preserved, adding a touch of historical charm on the way to the newly renovated men's facilities. The venue is also a hub for entertainment, hosting live music every Saturday night. Additionally, it offers karaoke on Sundays from 6 to 11 pm. This combination of history, comfort, and entertainment makes it a unique and appealing destination for a variety of patrons.
