Red Lion Hotel
This historic pub, nestled in a secluded passageway, underwent a significant transformation after years of closure. In April 2018, it was beautifully refurbished and relaunched as a prosecco cocktail bar and café. However, due to an intervention by the South Yorkshire Police, the establishment had to close its doors once again in July 2021. Fortunately, under new management, the pub was able to reopen in late March 2023. The pub enjoys a prime location, being in close proximity to notable landmarks such as the Rotherham Minster and All Saints Square. It's also conveniently situated near the main shopping area, making it an ideal spot for shoppers looking for a place to relax and unwind. Additionally, the pub offers some outdoor seating, providing patrons with the option to enjoy their drinks and meals in the open air. This historic pub's journey, from its initial closure to its recent reopening, is a testament to its resilience and enduring appeal.
