Bell Hotel
After an extended hiatus, Oswestry's most ancient pub reopened its doors in December 2021. The establishment, steeped in history, boasts a unique interior layout with three separate drinking sections, all catered to by a central horseshoe-shaped bar. Patrons can enjoy a rotating selection of cask beers, with up to five different options available at any given time. Additionally, a cider option is always on tap, served through one of the six handpumps installed at the bar. The pub's exterior is just as charming as its interior. The back of the property features an outdoor room, which is believed to have been a stable block in the past. A wooden shelter has been provided for those who wish to smoke. Adding to the appeal is an Astroturf walled garden, complete with picnic tables for those who prefer to enjoy their drinks in the open air. This combination of historical charm and modern amenities makes this pub a must-visit destination for both locals and visitors alike.
