Balls Brothers Austin Friars
The Lewis & Clarke Free House, a gastropub established around 2004, is nestled off Old Broad Street in a repurposed bank building. The establishment boasts large street-facing windows and high ceilings, creating a spacious and inviting atmosphere. The interior design is simple yet stylish, featuring a bare wooden floor, concrete pillars and steps, and exposed brickwork. The seating is covered in a vibrant red fabric, contrasting with the understated grey decor and visible metallic ventilation ducts. The bar also features an open-plan kitchen at the back, allowing patrons to observe the culinary process. Additionally, there is a small balcony seating area on the upper floor, providing an elevated view for guests.
