Olde Boars Head
Located near the Parish Church, this enchanting and historic pub has been a community staple since at least 1632. The establishment boasts two bars that cater to a range of rooms and alcoves, each exuding a unique charm. Notable features of the pub include its stone-flagged floors, a viewing panel that showcases the wattle and daub walls, and a spacious Sessions Room, which once served as a local courthouse. The pub also offers a selection of Lees Seasonal beers, which are occasionally available for purchase. For patrons who smoke, a covered and heated shelter is provided at the rear of the pub, ensuring a comfortable experience regardless of the weather. While the pub does not serve food on Sundays, it is recommended to inquire ahead about the food serving hours on other days. After a temporary closure due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the pub was delighted to reopen its doors on 17th May 2021. This historic pub continues to provide a warm and welcoming atmosphere, steeped in local history and tradition.
