Karma Lounge

Constructed in the 1930s as a replacement for the original Royal Oak, this establishment, previously an Ind Coope house, has undergone several transformations. It has been known as the Horse and Barge, the Grand Union, and the St James in Cowley, before returning to the Grand Union and finally becoming the Runway. However, the establishment was closed in August 2019. In July 2022, the venue reopened under a new name, Karma Lounge. The premises underwent a complete refurbishment, which included the addition of a conservatory restaurant at the rear. The bar area now features a comfortable seating arrangement, primarily consisting of sofas and cozy chairs accompanied by low tables. While the venue now offers Neck Oil on draught keg, it no longer serves real ale. Despite the changes, the establishment continues to provide a welcoming and comfortable environment for its patrons.
