The George & Dragon
Located on a modest corner of Cleveland Street, near the iconic BT Tower, is a charming local venue that was once known for serving real ale before the pandemic. As of mid-February 2022, the venue has yet to reintroduce cask ale to its offerings. The beer and price list is conveniently displayed on a screen for patrons. We welcome any updates regarding the return of their cask ale. Cleveland Street itself holds historical significance. It is named after the Duchess of Cleveland, a notable mistress of Charles II. Additionally, the area was once home to renowned figures such as Charles Dickens and Samuel Morse, the creator of Morse Code.
