The Fox & Hounds
The establishment, which began as a 16th-century farmhouse and adjoining cottage, was transformed into a beer house in the 19th century. A refurbishment in the 1990s led to the discovery of a hidden priest's hole. A more recent renovation introduced a fresh look with a butcher's counter, a steak flame grill, a bar, and a restaurant. The Riseley Room, located to the right of the bar, is available for party reservations. The expansive garden, complete with a lawn, also features a heated, covered patio. The beer selection is frequently updated and has recently featured Brewpoint's Popsicle and In-Bloom, as well as Eagle IPA.
