The Spinning Wheel Tavern

For four decades, the same landlord and landlady have maintained a charming, cosy pub that exudes the warmth and comfort of a farmhouse-style lounge. The pub is furnished with cushioned seats and benches, creating a welcoming atmosphere for its patrons. The interior is adorned with an array of brass and copper pots and pans, and a beautifully engraved timber spinning wheel, adding to its rustic charm. Previously known as the Old Hawarden Castle Inn, the pub underwent a name change in the late 70s. Despite the change, the pub has retained its traditional appeal and continues to serve as a drinks-only establishment. This long-standing venue, under the consistent management of its dedicated landlords, remains a beloved local haunt, offering a unique blend of comfort and nostalgia.
