The Ale Stone
In July 2017, a charming micropub was established in a beautifully converted shop. The interior is tastefully decorated, featuring wooden benches and dados throughout, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. A unique feature of the pub is a large barrel, topped with a millstone, which serves as a central table, adding a touch of rustic charm to the space. The pub offers a selection of up to three real ales and two ciders, all stored in a temperature-controlled, glass-fronted cellar that is visible from the bar. This not only ensures the beverages are served at their optimal temperature, but also adds an interesting visual element for patrons. For those feeling peckish, the pub also serves simple yet delicious ham and cheese cobs. This micropub is a perfect blend of traditional and modern elements, offering a cozy and enjoyable experience for all its visitors.
