Clark's Bar

Nestled at the base of a tenement building, this modest bar, which was originally a shop until its transformation in 1899, boasts a high ceiling, intricate cornices, and vintage dado panelling. The bar counter, which was initially circular, underwent a significant change in the 1960s when the gantry was relocated to the right-hand wall and a new bar counter was introduced. The gantry was later replaced in 1990. The bar's walls are decorated with an array of mirrors, some of which are quite old. Additionally, there are two cozy, wood-panelled sitting rooms that feature seating likely from the 1960s, complete with bell-pushes. This bar offers a unique blend of history and charm, making it a must-visit spot.
