New Wheel Inn
The establishment, which is now a cozy local spot, was initially constructed in 1908 and served as a local post office. The original pub was located where the current car park stands. In 1929, Tetleys acquired the property, which was then known as the Wheel, a name inspired by the local pottery industry. Following this acquisition, the Wheel was converted back into a residential property. Interestingly, Tetley's signmaker was not aware of the connection to the pottery industry when creating the signage. After undergoing renovations, the establishment has recently reopened and is ready to welcome patrons once again.
