Bartellas
The former Truman roadhouse has been transformed into an Italian restaurant, continuing the site's long-standing tradition of hospitality dating back to 1603. The current building, constructed in 1924, replaced the previous structure built in 1777. The restaurant also features a separate area for patrons who wish to enjoy a drink without dining. Unfortunately, Bartellas, the current establishment, has stopped serving real ale in recent years. Given the quality of their food, it would be beneficial for them to consider reintroducing this offering, perhaps sourcing from a local brewery like Iron Pier. This would not only enhance their beverage selection but also support local businesses.
