Moorcock Inn
The Martindale family operated a modest pub in the front parlour of their old farmhouse buildings from 1893 to 1989. In 1992, the property underwent a restoration by new owners who were committed to maintaining its unique, historical charm. While the trading areas were expanded, the original internal divisions were preserved. Most notably, the traditional cellar-servery setup and the pub parlour were largely left intact. The only significant changes made were the reconstruction of the old fireplace and the addition of a serving hatch that connects to the newly formed lounge. This careful preservation of the building's original features ensures that its rich history continues to be appreciated by visitors.
