The Mill Dam
The Mill Dam, formerly known as the Alpine, is a spacious, contemporary pub situated adjacent to a vast green space. The original name, the Alpine, was inspired by the building's architectural similarity to an alpine chalet. However, in February 2019, the pub underwent a complete renovation and was subsequently renamed the Mill Dam, paying homage to the nearby Greasbrough Dams. Following its grand reopening in late April 2019, the Mill Dam has maintained its status as a beloved local watering hole, boasting tasteful decor that enhances its welcoming atmosphere. The pub typically offers two types of real ales, often procured from the local Chantry Brewery, along with a real cider. Despite the high-quality offerings, the prices at the Mill Dam remain impressively affordable. This combination of factors ensures that the Mill Dam continues to be a popular destination for locals and visitors alike.
