In January 2016, Midlands-based investor Kevin Winfield purchased a prominent community pub located near the bus depot. The establishment had been run for a decade by local multiple operator, Your Friendly Local Limited. Despite the change in ownership, the pub's operations remain unchanged under the continued management of Pauline and Ricky. This pub, which primarily caters to drinkers, is one of the last two remaining in a region that was once home to numerous such establishments.
